A pure vegetarian hotel located near Central Station with a decent seating capacity. The food is tasty and the service is good. However, the place tends to get crowded, so you may need to wait a little for a table. The washrooms are clean, and the overall ambience inside is pleasant. Prices are reasonable and fair for the quality of food served.
A pure veg hotel near central station. Decent seating capacity. Food is also good. Service is good, but the place is crowded when I visited and you might need to wait a bit to be seated. Decent washrooms and ambience inside the hotel. Prices are average as I felt they are good enough for the food they are providing.
I went to Hotel Shiva Sagar near Chennai Central. I tried the ghee roast and masala dosa. Both were just okay in taste, not very special. The price was a bit high compared to other places. But the restaurant was clean and neat. The place looked good and was not too crowded when I went. It's close to the railway station, so it's easy to find. Good for a quick veg meal, but not the best for the price.

Terrible Experience at Hotel Shiva Shagar Near Chennai Central
I had the worst experience at Hotel Shiva Shagar near Chennai Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. MGR Central Railway Station. I ordered a Butter Dosai, and it was served in an unclean bowl on a banana leaf. To make matters worse, the dosai didn’t even have a hint of butter! When I inquired, the staff was indifferent.
Afterward, I ordered a tea, which cost an outrageous Rs 42. It was barely sweetened and tasted awful, with a strange, chewy texture. Even a Rs 10 tea elsewhere would have been better. To top it all off, the receptionist’s attitude was dismissive, saying, "Eat if you want."
Overall, a disappointing experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Avoid this place if you’re looking for decent food or good service.
