IGNNA by Midnight Sun – Absolute Disaster. Dishonest Staff & Spineless Management
On 7th January, we visited IGNNA by Midnight Sun as a family of four for dinner. Food itself was nothing special, but what followed was unbelievable.
After finishing dinner, we came down to see police, hotel staff, the chef, and the valet guy standing near our car. That’s when we realised our car had been met with an accident. Upon confrontation, it was clearly confirmed that the valet driver damaged our car.
Instead of owning up properly, the hotel management and police requested me to use my insurance to reduce liability on the valet driver. Against my better judgement, I agreed—purely to help the situation. In return, the hotel staff signed a written assurance that they would pay all non-insurance-approved damages not covered by insurance at the Maruti workshop, the next day.
Fast forward: when I met the Managing Director on the 2nd Jan 26, Thiru, he asked for proof of the signed document. I showed him clear proof signed by his own staff. And then—classic behaviour—he backed out, saying they are “not obligated” to pay and would only pay ₹17,000 for insurance. That’s it.
If this is how the MD behaves, don’t expect anything better from the staff. Zero accountability. Zero ethics.
To top it off:
Yesterday, Thiru himself admitted the valet driver was drunk
On the day of the accident, the staff manager claimed the driver was NOT drunk
So which is it?
Blatant lies. Shameless contradictions. Peak audacity.
I am attaching photos of my damaged car, the signed paper, and screenshots of all conversations in this review. Everything is documented.
Advice to future customers:
Food isn’t great anyway—but if you value your car and your peace of mind, stay away. There are far safer and more honest places to dine.
This place takes zero responsibility, protects its mistakes, and the management conveniently walks away when it’s time to pay up.
The place was absolutely stunning — great vibe and atmosphere. The Harissa chicken, however, felt a bit bland, and the portion could be better with more chicken and less rice. We also ordered the prawns, and they were absolutely lit. The vegetable pizza was delicious as well.
Do note that the drinks are on the pricier side.
Ignna by Midnight Sun Café is a beautiful blend of cozy ambience and refined elegance. If you’re looking for a café that offers great taste, beautiful ambience, and a peaceful experience, Ignna by Midnight Sun Café is definitely worth visiting. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy good food with great company! ☕✨
A really great spot to hang out with friends! The ambience is lively and the service is warm and welcoming. The food, especially the Chicken Tikka, is absolutely top-notch — definitely a must-try.
As expected, the drinks are on the pricier side. We were a group of three, and while I don’t drink, our total came to around ₹15K — about ₹4K for food and ₹11K for drinks. But honestly, the experience made it worth every bit.
Note: The place plays loud music, so go if you enjoy vibrant, energetic vibes. If you’re someone who prefers quiet or peaceful settings, this might not be your kind of place.
Overall, a fantastic experience!
The vibe of the place is definitely good. The food quality was up to the mark, though the Arabian Platter (pita bread, falafel, hummus) could improve a bit in terms of texture and taste. On the other hand, the Mediterranean Platter was superb — generous in portion, delicious in flavor, and easily sufficient for two people. It also offered a decent variety, which was a plus. :)
