It was a delightful experience at Paati Veedu. Their food ideas are so carefully planned and delivered. Taste was exceptional and did not feel full until the last serving of their lunch set menu. Even after being full, we were able to enjoy the delicacies/sweets. Captain Ramachandran was wonderful with his explanations on the food items and history of this business. Pure vegetarian at its best!
I had a meal here with my colleagues and we had the perfect lunch experience! The food is fresh, healthy and wholesome and some of the tastiest veg food I’ve ever had. The vadai was so good, the sambar sadam perfect and the drumstick rasam to die for. The variety is astounding. And despite so many courses you don’t feel bloated. The food is served with care and affection. The ambience is great. The dessert made with cotton seeds was really delish! Great experience
I visited Paati Veedu last week with family during a short trip in chennai. My group included my mother in law and her sister ( both elderly). We had been alotted a private space upstairs. Murugesh, the manager took extra care in making sure the senior folks could go upstairs using the service lift which was not available to the public. After we had settled down, the servers helped us to the menu for the day (changes on a daily basis) and explained in detail each item to help make our selections. The food was authentic, flourishing with flavor and from every bite you could tell the quality of the ingredients used in preparation. The servers were on top of their game, getting us any refills that were requested. Overall the taste, experience, ambiance were all outstanding. For any foreigners wanting to try the touch of South Indian food or locals alike, this is a must visit place. Oh, the pan box a hit amongst all the family members. Truly brought back memories of my Paati. I insist on getting a booking in advance so you don’t have to wait. Reach out to Murugesh and he will make sure your experience is enjoyable.
I have visited a lot of restaurants a very few make you remind of your roots , here is a restaurant or should I say house of Grandma reminding me of my ammama. Each and every dish so well crafted and more than that the care the service all are top class. I am personally super impressed and will be taking a lot of my friends , family to this place and recommend to everyone I know and all who read my reviews if you have not eaten here you have missed something special and watch out the Bakshanam sweets and savory right by the side
Thoroughly enjoyed the Poona bhakshanam meal, probably my favorite meal in Chennai so far. Couldn’t do justice to it even after skipping breakfast, come with an empty stomach! Every single dish was tasty and wholesome, no grease, no sugar - very homely authentic food with an aesthetic ambience. Huge thanks to Mr. Ramachandran for his very courteous and attentive service and major kudos to the chef!
